The green corridor of the Henry Hudson Parkway provides critical habitat for neo-tropical birds migrating up and down the Hudson River Estuary, one of North America's major east coast flyways. It also serves as an east-west ecological bridge across the northern Bronx, linking the Hudson River with the Long Island Sound.
